RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF PETITIONS
, REQUESTING THE ANNEXd�TION OF LUGO P�RK ANNEX�ITION
N0. 2 TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
. . WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the.City of Lynwood
� did, on the lOth day o£ December i957 recommend that the territory
lying southerly of Century Bou'levard and between the westerly and
easterly city boundary be annexed to the_City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission.o£ the County of Los
Angeles did, on the 12th day of March 1958 approve the proposed
bound.aries of said area as to definiteness and certainty, and
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of May 1958 the City Council of
the City of Lynwood consented.to the commencement of annexation
� pro'ceedings to annex said territory, and
�nTHEREAS, on the 16th day of May 1958 there was filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood an affidavit of public'ation
that sa'id notice of intention to circulate petitions relating 'to the
annexation of 'said territory to the City of Lynwo'od was published in
the Lynwood Press on the 8th.and 15th days of May 1958
, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that receipt of the affidavit
" . of publication is hereby acknowledged and approvaS is hereby given
for the circulation of petitions for the annexation of said territory,
. as hereinafter described.
That said territory is hereby designated as "Lugo Park
�lnnexation No. 2" and is described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northerly prolongation
of the easterly line of Lot 1 of Tract No. 5818 as shown on map
recorded in Book 140, Page 43 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County,
California, with the westerly prolongation of the center line of
Cortland Avenue '(60 £eet wide)„ as shown on map o£ Tract No, 10614,
recorded in Book 211, Pages 38 and 39 of said Maps, said point of
I intersection being on the boundary line of the City of Lynwood as
said boundary line existed March j, 1958 thence southerly along

said bouridary line and following the same in all its various courses
to its intersection with the aforementioned center line of Cortland
Avenue (60 feet wide); thence westerly along said center line and
the westerly prolongation thereof to the point of beginning.•
That proceedings for the annexation of said territory
shall be in accordance with the."�rinexation Act of 1913," as
amended. . �
