RESOLUTION OF AW..�11RD OF CONTRP�CT IN THE MATTER
OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF BIRCH STREET
BETWEEN FERNWOOD AVENUE AND THE CITY P�ARK BY
THE CONSTRUCTION OF CURBS, GUTTERS, DRIVEW�YS,
9�ND SIDEW�LKS, �1ND THE REMOV,�1L OF THE EXISTING
P�RKW4IYS, . DRIVEWAYS, �1ND PORTION OF SIDEW7�LLKS,
INCLUDING �1LL INCIDENTWL ,�ND APPURTENIf�NT WORK,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did in
open session on the 4th day of June 1958 publicly open, examine,
and declare all sealed proposals or bids for the following work to
be done or improvement to be made in said city, to wit: all that
certain work arid- improvement set forth in Resolution of Intention
nro. 2788 passed and adopted by the said City Council on the 4th
day of March 1958 which Resolution of Intention is on file in the
office of the City Clerk o£ said city, and is hereby referred to £or
a description of said. work or improvement, the boundaries of the
district to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses of said. work
and for further particulars,
, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by said City Council that
it does hereby reject all of said proposals or bids except the next
herein mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said work
or improvement to the lowest, regular, responsible bidder, to wit:
Ray F. Hess, at the prices for said work or improvement named in said
bid, which bid is on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city
and is hereby referred. to for £urther particulars.
The City Clerk of said city is hereby directed to publish
'" notice of this award twice in the Lynwood Press, a weekly newspaper
published and circulated. in said city, and hereby designated for that
purpose by this City Council.
