7� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING:�S'IUTU�I, �IID �'�GREEMENT BETWEEN
S�ID CITY AND VARIOUS OTHER CITIES AND COUNTY
TERRITORY IN THE 1ST REGIONAL DISTRICT OF THE
ST�TE OF CALIFORNI�, CIVIL DEFENSE REGION, 2�ND
REPE�LING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN OONFLICT HEREWITH,
The City Council of the City of Lynwood resolves as
follows:
Whereas, legal authorization has been granted by legisla.tiv e
enactment (Chap.ter 323, Sta.tutes of 1941, and Chapter l, Statutes of
1g43) whereby the City of Lynwood may cooperate with other political i
entities when an emergency exists;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Chapter
323, Statutes of 1941 and Chapter 1, Statutes of 1942, the Fire Chief
of the City of Lynwood, or in his absence or inability to act then
his authorized representative, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to use the equipment and personnel of the Department, or
the personnel of the City of Lynwood Fire Department under his super-
vision or control, or such part thereof, as and when he may deem
it necessary or advisable, for the purpose of cooperating with the
Fire Departments of the following cities: Vernon, Huntington Park,
South Gate, Bell, Whittier, Montebello, Compton, Maywood,.Downey,
Santa. Fe Springs, and the unincorporated territory of Los Angeles
County, or the fire departments of any neighboring city or county
within the lst Regional District of the State of California, Civil
Defense Region,
Section 2, That Resolution No. 1385 and all resolutions
� ' in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, -
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Lynwood shall

certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter

-� the same shall be in full force and effect,
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th ay of June 1958.
