Enhancement Fund for CSAH 19 TrailMember Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.03-24 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING SUBMISSION OF GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT FUND FOR CSAH 19 TRAIL DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the development of a trail along CSAH 19 will significantly increase accessibility and safety for recreational trail needs in Medina; and WHEREAS, the proposed CSAH 19 trail will connect Medina residents and visitors of Baker Park Reserve to neighboring cities and regional recreational interests; and, WHEREAS, the City of Medina 2000-2020 Comprehensive Plan, adopted on September 11, 2000, identifies the CSAH 19 trail as a Proposed County Trail as cited in the map of Existing & Proposed Parks, Trails, Open Space and Natural Features; WHEREAS, the City of Medina Trail Study, approved on July 1, 2003, supports a trail along CSAH 19 in Medina to address recreational and safety needs; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, City of Medina approves the submission of the Federal Transportation Enhancement Fund application to assist in the funding of the CSAH 19 trail, which would provide a needed link to regional parks, communities, and recreational interests. Workman, Lane, Smith, Brinkman. And the following voted against same: None Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
