RESOLUTION N0. 2803
IN THE MATTER OF THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC OFF-STREET PARKING
PURPOSES. RESOLUTION DIRECTING PREPARATION
OF DEBT LIMITATION REPORT.
, YIHEREAS, a petition for the formation of a Vehicle
Parking District under the Vehicle Parking District Act of 19�+3
as amended, was filed in the office of the City Clerk on the 25th
day of April, 1g58; and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has checked said petition and
has'certified that it is signed by the requisite numb�r of qualified
signers, and that the said petition and certificate of said City
Clerk have been presented to this City Council;
NOYJ THEREFORE The City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby resolve as follows:
, Section 1: That the public interest, convenience and
necessity require, and the City Council of the City of Lynwood
proposes to institute proceedings for the acquisition described in
said petition.
Section 2: That the general nature, location and extent
of said woric is the acquisition of certain property l,ying easterly
of the first alley easterly of Long Beach Boulevard between Mulford
Avenue and Sanborn Averiue in the City of Lynwood for off-street
parking purposes. Said property is more particularly described as
follows:
Lot 366 of Tract No. 2551, as �.shown on map recorded
on Book 24, Pages 78, 7g, and 80 of Maps, Records
of Los Angeles County, California.
Section 3: It is hereby determined that the total expense
' of improving said property to be acquired shall be paid by the City
of Lynwood.
Section 4: It is hereby further determined that the City
Council of the City of Lynwood adopts this resolution under and in '
accordance Vrith Section 4 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
, State of California, known as the Special Assessment Investigation,
Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, as amended. It is
hereby further determined that,said City Council proposes to conduct
the proceedings for said acquisition under the Vehicle Parking DistLict
Act of 1943, as amended.
Section 5: That the boundary or extent of the assessment
district showing the lands to be assessed to pay the costs and
expenses of said acquisition is shown on Plan No. 1958-D-1 on file
in the office of the City Clerk of said city, which shall govern.
for all details as to the extent of said assessment district.
Section 6: That the City Engineer be and he is hereby
directed to prepare and deliver to said City Council a written report
on said acquisition in accordance with the provisions of said
Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest
, Act of 1931 as amended.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of May 1g58.
