Mayor Vincent Yu called the Special Meeting to order at 7:05 a.m.

Captain Jacob, Sergeant Miranda, Deputy Adams, Deputy
Lam, Deputy Zuniga, and Detective Silva
Councilmember Fish made a motion to excuse Mayor Pro
Tern Sternquist for cause. Councilmember Chavez seconded
the motion.
Thomas Petro, Temple City Resident, commented on transients trespassing and
squatting in empty houses.
Jerry Jambazian, Temple City Business Owner, commented on the 5th year
anniversary of the 2011 windstorm and thanked the City, the Fire Department and
the Sheriffs Department for their efforts.

A. OVERVIEW OF LASD SPECIAL VICTIMS BUREAU
Detective Michael Silva gave an overview of the Special Victims Bureau.

A. ACTION PLAN FOR BURGLARY SUPPRESSION
Sergeant Miranda provided a brief overview of the on-going burglary
suppression operations and spoke regarding the recent increase in theft and
property crimes.

Sergeant Miranda provided a brief overview of the number of sex offender
registrants, parolees, and probationers in the City.

Sergeant Miranda provided an update regarding arrests and operations in the

Sergeant Miranda provided an overview of crime trends in neighboring cities
affecting Temple City.
E. NOTABLE ARRESTS
Sergeant Miranda provided an overview of notable arrests made in the City.

Sergeant Miranda provided an overview of traffic issues in the City.
G. CRIME AND TRAFFIC STATISTICS
Sergeant Miranda provided an overview of the crime and traffic statistics.
