A_RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNC'IL' OF THE '
CITY OF LYNWOOD REQUESTING THE BOARD.OF
SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
TO PERMIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID
COUNTY TO RENDER.SPECIFIED.OERVICES TO Z��E
' CITY OF LXNWOOD, RELATING TO THE CONDUCT'OF
THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
IN SAID CTTY ON APRIL S, 1958.
WHERE�SS, a gerieral municipal election is to be held in the
City of Lynwood. on.Apri1 8 Z958 and
WHEREAS, zn the course of �:onduct of said election and in
relation thereto, it will be necessary to mail sample.ballots anci
polling place cards to the regisbered voters of the city, and it
, will facilitate such mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County
of Los Angeles will imprint names and addresses of the registered
voters of said city and the location,of the polling places, and insert
said' sample.ballots and polling place cards into envelopes, and
•_ WHEREAS, all necessary supplies in performing this service
- shall. be approved by and furnished to said Registrar o£ Voters by the'
Ci�y of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service
shall be paid by the City of Lynwood,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
' does hereby resolve, determine, and order as follows:
Section l, That it is deemed- economical and satisfactory
to the City Council of the City of Lynvrood that the Registrar of Voters
__ of the County of Los Angeles imprint the-names and addresses of the
registered voters of said city and loca.tion of polling places on
insert sheets furnished. by the city, and insert said sample,ballots
and polling place cards in mailing.envelopes furnished by the city.
Pursuant to the provisions of Section g483 of the Elections Code,of
the State of California., this City Council.hereby reques'ts the Board
of Supervisors of said County of Los Angeles to permit the Registrar
of Voters of said County to render such services to the city.in con-
nection with the conduet of said election to�be.held on April 8, 1958.
Section 2, That the estimated cost of said services is
One Hundred Forty Dollars ($140.00) and it is hereby ordered that
the sum of One Hundred Fifty-four pollars C$154,00), (�aeing'an amount
10% in excess of such estimated cost), be reserved from the funds of ,
, s'aid c3ty to the end that a' sum equal to the actual cost of'said
services may be.transferred to said County'when the work is completed
and goods supplied, upon presentation to the City of a properly
approved bill from said County.
Section 3, That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
� forward, without delay, to said Board o£ Supervisors and to_said
, Regi`s"trar of Voters a certified copy of this resolution.
