A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD,,CALIFORNIA, OBJECTING TO THE SALE BY
THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
PURSUANT TO DIVISION l, PART 6, CHAPTER 7-, OF
THE REVENUE AND TAXATION CODE,,OF A PARCEL OF
PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND AGAINST �
WHICH THE CITY OF LYNWOOD HAS LEVIED TA�S.
WHEREAS, the following parcel of real property is situated
within the City of Lynwood, wo wit:
Modjeska Acres, S 40ft of N 120ft measured on
E line of Lot 27.
WHEREAS, said- parcel of real property has heretofore been
deeded to the State of California for delinquent taxes; and said deed
to the State for taxes includes taxes levied by the City of Lynwood,
the taxes of which City are collected by County officers; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been notified by the
County Tax Collector of Los Angeles County that he was authorized by
the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County to sell said parcel of
property in accordance with Division 1, Part 6, Chapter 7 of the
Reverue and Taxation Code; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City of Lynwood, to
purchase, pursuant to the Revenue.and Taxation Code, said parcel o£
property for municipal purposes, to wit, STREET PURPOSES, and it
would be detrimental to the interest of the city to permit the County
Tax Collector to hold such sale as to said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
That the City of Lynwood, a taxing agency, does hereby
object to the sale of the above described parcel of real property by
the County Tax Collector of Los Angeles County, in accordance with
Divi:;9_on l, Part 6, Chapter 7 of the Revenue and Taxation Code.
The Mayor and the City C1erk are hereby aizthorized to
entex° into a contract with the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
C�unty for the purchase by the City of Lynwood for said municipal

purposes of the parcel of real property herein described.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
passes and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lynwood at
its meeting held on the 4th day of February, 1957, by the following
vote:
Ayes: Councilmen: Compton, Finch, McMeekin, Pender,
