HomeMy Public PortalAbout2022-100 Reso Canvassing Votes from 11.15.2022 General ElectionResolution No. 2022-100 November 15, 2022 Member _Cavanaugh_ introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 2022-100 A RESOLUTION APPROVING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2022 WHEREAS, a Municipal Election was held at the General Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, to vote on the offices of Mayor and two Council Members; and the official returns of the election judges were presented; and WHEREAS, said returns were duly examined, approved, and placed on file in the Office of the City Clerk; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina that it is hereby found, determined, and declared that the Regular Municipal Election held in and for the City of Medina on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 was in all respects duly held and the returns thereof have been duly canvassed, the votes cast at said election were: MAYOR, Two-year term, beginning the first Monday of January 2023. Kathleen M. Martin Received 2,273 Votes Write-Ins Received 42 Votes Undervotes Received 1,375 Votes Overvotes Received 0 Votes Total 3,690 Votes COUNCIL MEMBER, Four-year term, Two Seats, beginning the first Monday of January 2023. Ryan D. Kaplan Received 1,068 Votes Todd M. Albers Received 1,616 Votes Dino DesLauriers Received 1,285 Votes Write-Ins Received 22 Votes Undervotes Received 3,387 Votes Overvotes Received 2 Votes Total 7,380 Votes Other election statistics include: On November 8, 2022, there were 4,870 registered voters at 7:00 a.m. and 138 persons registered to vote on Election Day.
