SUBJECT: APPEAL OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S DECISION DENYING A
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ESTABLISH A 7,891 SQUARE FOOT
KARAOKE TELEVISION (KTV) BUSINESS IN THE CAMELLIA SQUARE
SHOPPING CENTER, LOCATED AT 9055 LAS TUNAS DRIVE, UNIT 125
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to continue the public hearing to date uncertain.
BACKGROUND:
The applicant of the above case appealed the Planning Commission's decision denying
the Conditional Use Permit. After scheduling this item for a pub lic hearing and sending
out public notices the applicant requested that the City Council continue this item. The
applicant is requesting additional time to prepare a thorough response to the City's and
the community's concerns. When a new hearing date is chosen, staff will send public
hearing notices at least ten days prior to the hearing date.

Good Morning Scott,
Thank you for the phone call this morning regarding our Appeal.
Please find this email as our formal request that the Owner of the proposed
KTV project Ms. Xing Xing would like to continue our appeal date from
Nov 15 to a later date .
We are currently assisting the client to prepare additional operation history
for few of the existing local KTV establishments.
We appreciate your consideration in processing our request, and we will
work with your department to schedule the next available date for the City
Council Meeting.
