RESOLUTION N0. 2773
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD REQUESTING AID FOR_PROTECTION.
OF GRADE CROSSING.. _ ., „
Ir7IiEFiE9S, the State of California has appropriated
certain funds for allocation by the Public Utilities Commission
to local agencies to assist in paying for the cost of protection
at grade crossings, and
[�REAS, the City of Lynwood has a grade crossing
which qualifies for such aid;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the C3ty of Lynwood as follows: �
Section l: That the submission of an application for
funds to aid in the installation of safety devices at the grade
crossing over the Southern Pacific Company's railway at Fernwood
Avenue is hereby authorized. l r
Section 2 : That the Mayor of the City of Lynwood
is hereby authorized to sign each application of the City of
Lynwood to the Public Utilities Commission for allocation of
funds from the Crossing Protection F`und in accordance with pro-
,�` cedurea established by said Commission.
