COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 19, 2010
1. CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chairman Chavez called the Community Redevelopment Agency Regular Meeting to
order at 8:32 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue, Temple City.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Member -Blum, Sternquist, Yu, Chavez
ABSENT: Member - Vizcarra
ALSO PRESENT: Executive Director Pulido, Agency Counsel Vail, Assistant Executive
Director Lambert, Agency Secretary Flandrick
Mr. Blum moved to excuse Chairman Vizcarra for cause, seconded by Mr. Yu and
unanimously carried.
3. CONSENT CALENDAR
Mr. Yu moved to approve the Consent Calendar, seconded by Mr. Blum and unanimously
carried.
A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Approved the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 5, 2010, as presented.
B. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. CRA 10 -1006 — APPROVAL OF PAYMENT OF
BILLS
Adopted Resolution No. CRA 10 -1006, a RESOLUTION OF THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ALLOWING
CLAIMS AND DEMANDS IN THE SUM OF $4,469.07 DEMAND NOS. 3785
THROUGH 3786.

8. UPDATE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
A. REDEVELOPMENT STRATEGY COMMUNITY WORKSHOP ON NOVEMBER 4,
2010
Executive Director Pulido provided information on the Redevelopment Strategy
Community Workshop hosted by Seifel Consulting to be held on November 4, 2010

at 7:00 p.m. in the Gymnasium of the First Baptist Church of Temple City, located at
6019 Baldwin Avenue.
The purpose of the workshop is to provide the Agency's consultant (Seifel) with an
opportunity to present their initial findings and specifically address the following
opportunities:
1) Leveraging the existing redevelopment tools through June 2015, when the
Rosemead Boulevard Redevelopment Plan is currently scheduled to end;
2) Lengthening the time frame during which various redevelopment tools can be
used through the potential amendment of the redevelopment plan; and
3) Expanding the City's Rosemead Boulevard redevelopment project area to
include additional properties that are in need of revitalization.
The meeting will also serve as a forum for gathering input from the general public, as
well as business and property owners, on how to more effectively capitalize on
opportunities and address the most critical challenges facing the downtown and other
business areas.
Flyers with additional information are available on the City's website, and will be
provided to businesses by the Chamber of Commerce.
