BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood as followse Section 1 . That Resolut.ion No 2035 of the City of Lynwood ° adopted the 18th day of March, 1947, prescribes the time and method of �aying salaries and wages of the oPficers and employees of said city as required by Section 37206 of the Go,rernment Code of the State oi California. Section 2 . Increases throughout the remainder of the steps shall be given at intervals of six months upon recommendation of the department head and approval of the City Manager until the highest or top step is reached, The city does not pay for overtime work. However, when over- time work is necessary such overtime may be_compensated for by time off at the discretion of the department head. Premium pay is allowable Por completed courses of approved subjects at accredited schools and i� fixed at $1,00 per month for _ _ each semester hour of work satisfactorily completed by the employee. _ Approved courses completed subsequent to July 1, 1955 Will receive 50� credit. Maximum premium pay is fixed at $20.00 per month. A semester hour is defined as one hour of classroom work per week for one semester or 18 weeks, plus necessary outside study. The city will contribute 50� of the cost of. tuition where the cost of such tuition exceeds the sum of $10.00 per semester course.
