RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT IN THE MATTER OF THE
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF MURIEL DRIVE �WEST SIDE)
BETWEEN 133.60 FEET SOUTH OF VIRGINIA AVENUE AND
13j.54 FEET NORTH OF JOSEPHINE STREET BY THE CON-
STRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURBS, GUTTERS, AND CROSS
GUTTERS, TOGETHER WITH ALL INCIDENTAL AND APPUR-
TENANT WORK.
� WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood d.id ,in
open session on the 19th day of February i957 publicly open,
examine, and declare all sealed proposals or bids for the following
work to be done and improvement to be made in said city, to wit:
All that certain work and improvement set forth in Resolution of
Intention No. 2706 passed and adopted by said City,Council on the
2nd day of January i957 which Resolution of Intention is one file
in the office o£ the City Clerk of said City and. is hereby referred
to for a description of said work or improvement, the boundaries of
the district to be'asseseed to pay the costs and expenses o£ said
work, and for further particulars.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by said City Council that
it rejects, and it does hereby"reject'all of said proposals or bids
except the next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for
doing said work or improvement to the lowest, regular, responsible
bidder, to wit: Ray F. Hess, at the prices for said work or
improvement named in said bid, which bid is on file in the office of
the City Clerk of said City, and is hereby referred to for further �
particulars. �
The City C1erk of said City is hereby directed to publish
notice of this award twice in the Lynwood Presa, a weekly newspaper
published and circulated in said City and hereby designated for that
-_purpose by this City Council. ,
