RESOLUTION N0. 273'4 `
A RESOLUTION PASSING UPON OBJECTIONS,.AND
DIRECTING THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO
ABATE THE NUISANCE OF DRY AND DRYING WEEDS
THAT EXIST ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, California,
did on the 19th day of February 1957 adopt Resolution No. 2723
' relating to the abatement of dry,and drying weeds on certain parcels
of land in the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, due notice was given to destroy such weeds by
posting "Notice to Destroy Weeds" notices as required by law, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for the hearing of
protests and objeetions to said matter, a hearing wa.s duly held and
no written or oral objections were made to the doing of said work,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has con-
sidered. all the facts and is fully informed in the matter; and. they
have acquired jurisdiction to proceed. and perform the work of removal
of said nuisance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Superintendent of
Streets of the City of Lynwood be and he is hereby instructed to abate
the nuisances described in said reaolution No. 2723 by hav�ng said
nuisances referred to removed,.and he and his assistants,are hereby
expressly authorized to enter upon private property fo'r that purpose.
Be it further resolved that any property owners shall have
the right to have any such nuisance removed and abated at his own ex-
pense, provided such work is done prior to the time the work is done
by the Superintendent of.Streets. If.the work_is done by the_property
• owner, no charge shall be made by the City of Lynwood.
