Mayor Yu called the C ity Council Regular Meeting to order at 7 :32 p.m . in the Counci l Chambers loca ted at 5938 Kauffman Avenue , Temple City . 2. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmember-Chavez , Fish , Man , Sternqu ist , Yu ABSENT: Councilmember -None ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook , City Attorney Murphy , City C lerk Kuo , Community Development Director Forbes , and Adm inistrative Services Director Hause 3. INVOCATION- Pastor Darrel Kelty , Community of Christ, provided the Invocation . 4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Boy Scout Troop #161 provided a flag ceremony and led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance . 5. CEREMONIAL MATTERS-PRESENTATIONS-None 6. Action : 1. Received the Subdiv ision Improvement Agreement ; 2. Approved the fina l Subdiv ision Map for Parcel Map No . 73447 ; 3 . Authorized the City Manager to execute the Subdivision Improvement; and 4 . Authorized the City Clerk to certify Parcel Map No. 73447 . D . FINAL SUBDIVISION MAP APPROVAL FOR PARCEL MAP NO . 73448 , A FLAG LOT SUBDIVISION AT 4920 HELEO AVENUE City Council is requested to approve the Fina l Parcel Map for a flag lot subdivision at 4920 Heleo Avenue . Action : 1. Received the Subdivision Improvement Agreement ; 2 . Approved the final Subdivision Map for Parcel Map No . 73448 ; City Counci l Minutes December 20 , 2016 Page 3 of 8 3 . SECOND READING AND ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY , CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 7 BY ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 2017 LOS ANGELES COUNTY CODE , TITLE 26 BUILDING CODE , TITLE 27 ELECTRICAL CODE , TITLE 28 PLUMBING CODE , TITLE 29 MECHANICAL CODE , TITLE 30 RESIDENTIAL CODE AND TITLE 33 EXISTING BUILDING CODE AND CALIFORNIA GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS CODE WITH CERTAIN AMENDMENTS , ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS THERETO The City Council is requested to adopt an ord inance adopting a revised Build i ng Code for Temple City , referenc ing the Los Angeles County Building Code . Councilmember Chavez made a motion to read by title only , waived further read i ng , and adopted Ordinance No . 16 -1019 adopti ng by reference and amending the 2017 Los Angeles Bu i lding , Residential , Electrical , Mechan ica l, Plumbing Code , Existing Building Codes and Californ ia Green Bu i ld i ng Standards Code . ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO . 16 -5 227 MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY MOSQUITO & VECTOR CONTROL DISTRICT The City Counci l is requested to appoint a representative to serve on the San Gabrie l Valley Mosquito & Vecto r Control District Board of Trustees . City Clerk gave a brief summary of the staff report. Mayor Yu opened public comment. Hearing no request to speak , Mayor Yu cl osed public com ment. Councilmember Chavez made a motion to adopt Resolution No . 16-5227 appointing Mayor Pro Tern Sternqu ist to the Board of Trustees for the San Gabriel Valley Mosq uito & Vector Control District and instructed the City Clerk to complete the resolution to reflect C ity Council's decision. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO . 16-5226 PROVIDING FOR T HE APPOINTMENT OF THE NOMINEES TO THE OFFICE OF CITY COUNCIL THAT WERE TO BE ELECTED ON TUESDAY, MARCH 7 , 2017 AND CANCELLING THE CITY'S GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON THAT DATE The City Counci l is requested to adopt the resolut io n and exercise its option to appoint the nominees to those offices and to cancel the March 7 , 2017 General Municipa l Election .
