RESOLUTION N0, 2711
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF
• PETITIONS REQUESTING THE ANNEXATION OF
OZELL MANOR ANNEXATION N0. 8 TO THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the.City of Lynwood
did, on the jth day of October, 1956 recommend to the City Council
that the territory lying southerly of Carlin,Avenue and easterly
of Thorson Avenue be annexed to the City of Lynwood,.and
WI�REAS,.the Boundary Commission of the County of Los
Angeles did, on the 8th day of November, 1956 approve the proposed
• boundaries of said area as to definiteness and certainty, and
WHEREAS, ON the 18th of December, 1956, the City Council
of the City of Lynwood consented.to the.commencement of annexation
prbceedings to annex said territory, and
dr7HEREAS, on.the llth day of January 1g57 there was filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood an.affidavit of publication
that said notice of intention to circulate petitions relating to the
annexation of said territory,to the City of Lynwood was published in
the Herald-American on the lOth day of January 1957
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that receipt of the affidavit
of'publication,is hereby acknowledged and approval is hereby given I
for the circulation of petitions for the annexation of said territory,
as hereinafter described.
That said territory is hereby designated as "Ozell Manor
Annexation No..8" and is described as follows:
Beginning.at the southeasterly corner of Tract No. 17484 •
" as shown on map recorded in Book 424, pages 43 and 44 of
Maps, Records of Los Angeles County,.California, said
point being on the boundary line of'the.City of Lynwood
as said boundary line existed October 22 Z956 thence
northerly along said boundary line and following the
. same in all its various Courses to its intersection with
the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of Lot 67
of Tract No. 11632, as shown on map recorded in Book 210,
. pages 29 and j0 of Maps, Records of said County,.said last
described line being on the boundary line of the City of
Compton as said boundary existed..,October 22 1956 thence
southerly in a direct line through the southeasterly cor- .
ner of Lot 54 of said Tract No. 11632 to the center line
. of Olanda Street, 60 feet wide, as shown on said last
mentioned map;.thence westerly along said last mentioned

center line and the westerly prolongation thereof
to its intersection with the aforementioned boundary
line of the City o£ Compton; thence northerly along
said last mentioned boundary line and following the
same in all its various courses to the point of
beginning.
That proceedings £or the annexation of said territory
shall be in accordance with the.'�Annexation Act of 1g13 as
amended, �
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th d.ay of Ja'nuary 1957.
