RESOLUTION N0. 2718
RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS AND DETERMINING
THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HAS ACQUIRED JURISDICTION
TO ORDER THE PROPOSED WORK OR IMPROVEMENT IN THE
MATTER OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF MURIEL
DRIVE (WEST SIDE) BETWEEN 133.60 FEET SOUTH OF
VIRGINIA AVENUE AND 133.54 FEET NORTH OF JOSEPHINE
STREET BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURBS,
GUTTERS, AND CROSS GU.TTERS, TOGETHER WITH ALL
INCIDENTAL AND APPURTENANT WORK.
� WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did on
the 2nd. day of January i957 adopt its Resolution of Intention No.
2706 ordering the improvement of Muriel Drive (west side) between I
133.60 feet south of Virginia Avenue and. 133.54 feet north of
Josephine street by the construction of concrete curbs, gutters,
and cross gutters, including a11 incid.ent and appurtenant work, and.
WHEREAS, Tuesday, the 5th d.ay o£ February, 1957 at the
hour of 8:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said.
C'ity o£ Lynwood. was the time and. place set in said Resolution of
Intention when and. where any objections to the proposed work or im-
provement, or to the extent of the district to be assessed., or to
the grades to which the work was proposed. to be d.one, would be heard.
by said City Council, and.
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of said City has heretofore pre-
sented and filed. an affid.avit of publication of said Resolution of
Intention, showing that the same was published. accord.ing to law, and
WHEREAS, said. City Clerk has also presented. and filed his
affidavit of ma,iling notices of the a�doption of said Resolution of
Intention in the time, form, and. manner, and to the persons, all as
provided by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Ca1i£ornia,
d.esignated. as Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, and. cited
as the "Improvement Act of 1911," and- amendments thereto, and.
WHEREAS, the.City Engineer-Superintendent of StreetsYas
heretofore presented and.filed an affidavit showing that notices of
. the passage o£ said. Resolution of Intention have been posted in the
manner provid.ed. by said. Act, and.
WI-IEREAS,'at said hearing held. on the 5th d.ay of February,

" 1957, no protes.ts were filed against any of the things proposed to
betdone und:er said Resolution of Intention No. 2706,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counei2 of the
City of Lyriwood-.that the'said. City Council has acquired.full juris-.
d.iction.to order the proposed work or improvement.
