RESOLUTION N0. 2720
RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK AND DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE INVITING BIDS IN THE
• MATTER OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF MURIEL
DRIVE (WEST SIDE) BETWEEN 133.60 FEET SOUTH OF
VIRGINIA AVENUE AND 133.54 FEET NORTH OF
JOSEPAINE STREET BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF CON-
CRETE CURBS, GUTTERS,,AND QROSS GUTTERS, TO-
GETHER WITH ALL INCIDENTAL AND APPURTENANT WORK.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood.
as follows:
Section l: In the opinion of said City Council the public
interest and. convenience require, and said City Council having
acquired.,jurisdiction so to do, the following work or improvement is
hereby ordered. to be done, to wit:
The construction of concrete curbs, gutters, and cross
gutters, together with a11 incidental and appurtenant work on the
west side of Muriel Drive lying between 133.60 feet south of Virginia
Avenue and. 133.54 feet north of Josephine Street, as more particularly
described. in Resolution of Intention No. 2706.
Section 2:. All of the work or improvement aforesaid shall
be d.one as contemplated. in Resolution of Intention No. 2706 of the
City Council of said City, and to Plans and Specifications No. 1956-G-3,
to which reference is hereby made for ftirther particulars.
Section 3: Said proposed work or improvement, in the
opinion of said City Council, is of more than local or ordinary public
benefit and said City Council hereby determines and. deelares that the
district to be benefited by said. work and improvement, a.nd to be
assessed to pay the costs and. expenses thereof is particularly d.escribed
in Resolution of Intention No. 2706. Reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention and. to Plan No. 1956-G-4 for further particu-
lars as to the extent of the assessment district.
Section 4: The proceedings £or the aforesaid work and im-
provement shall be had and taken under an Act of the Legislature o£ the
State of California designated. as the Streets and. Highways Code,
Division 7, and cited. as the "Improvement Act of 1911," and. amendments

thereto. ,
Section 5: The City Council hereby d.etermines and. d.eclares
that eerial bonds, shall be issued. in the £orm and. manner provided in
said aforementioned Act, bearing interest at the rate of six (6) per-
centum per annum to represent each assessment o£ twenty-five ($25,00)
d.ollars or over, remaining unpaid.for thirty days after the d.ate of
warrant. Said serial bonds shall extend. over a period ending nine
years from the second day of January next succeeding the next October
15th following their date. Said bonds and. interest thereon shall be
paid a.t the office of the City Treasurer of said. City and. shall be
d.isbursed by him, all as provided. in said. Act.
_ Section 6: The City Clerk shall post and cause to be
published a notice inviting sea-led proposals or bid.s for doing the
, above d.escribed work or improvement in the time, form, and. manner
