A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL -0F THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD,.CALIFORNIA„ DECLARING ITS INTEN-
TION TO PAY OUT OF ITS MUNICIPAL FUNDS ONE
HUNDRED.PER'.CENTUM (100/) OF THE AMOUNT OF '
TP.XES TO BE DERIVED FROM THE AREA OF THE
METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN i
CALIFORNIA WITHIN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY.1, 1957, AS
SUCH AMOUNT OF TAXES SHALL BE FIXED'IN
AUGUST 1957 BY RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF'
DIRECTORS OF SUCH METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of Lynwood is
desirous of d.eclaring its intention, pursuant to the provisions of
said Seetion 8.2 of th'e Metropolitan Wa:ter District Act, to pay out
of the municipal funds of sa'3d City One Hundred per centum (100°0)
of the amount of the taxes of "The Metropolitan Water District.of
Southern California for the fiscal year 1957-58 to be derived. from
: the'area of said District within said City of Lynwood., as such amount
of taxes shall be fixed in August 1957 by resolution of the Board �
of Dir'ectors of said The Metropolitan Water District of Southern
California, and. it appears that there will be suf£icient,money in
the appropria,te municipal fund., to wit,, the" Water Fund:, of sa:id City
to make such payment, and
WHEREAS, a sta.tement of the existence of the C3ty of Lynwood
as a muni�cipal corporation and a legal d.eseription of the boundaries
of sa3d. City of Lynwood, including recent changes in said bound.aries,
to wit: Ordinances Number 619, 625, 634, 637, 648, and 651, with
maps or pla:ts, have been filed with the said. The Metropolitan Wa.ter
District of Southern California, with the County Assessor of the
County of Los Angeles, and with the State Board of Equa:lization;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,.CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
That said. City Council hereby and: herein,d.eclares its
intention, on behalf o£ the City of'Lynwood, to pay out of its municipal
fund.s One Hundred per centum (100�) of the amount of taxes to be.d.erived
from the area of said District within the City o£'Lynwood, as such

amount of taxes shall be fixed in August, 1957, by resolution o£
�he Board of Directors of said. The Metropolitan Water District of
Southern CaliPornia for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1957, and
ending June" 30 1958 and that said City of Lynwood., pursuant to the
' proyisions of paragraph (d.) of Section 8 of the'Metropolitan Water
District Act, as amend:ed, and. at the time arid. in the manner therein
provide'd,'will ele'ct to p'ay One' Hundred. per centum (100%) of the I
amount of taYes to be derived.from said. City of Lynwood as so fixed.
by said resolution.of the Board of Directors of said District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED by said City,Council
that immediately upon the adoption of this declaration of intention
and. ord'er, and. not later than the lOth d.ay of December 1956 a
certified copy of this declaration.of intention.and order shall be
filed.by City Clerk of the City o£ Lynwood. with the Controller
of said. The.Metropolitan.Water District of Southern California, and.
with the Cqunty Assessor of the County of Los Angeles, and with the

BE IT FURTHER.RESOLVED AND ORDERED by said City Council
that concurrently with the certification_to the Controller'of The
Metropolitan.Water District of Southern Califarnia of said d.eclaration
of intention, the�sa:id C3ty Clerk sha'll transmit or cause to'be

tra:nsmitte'd. to sa3d Controller a: statement showing the financia'1
condition of said City the fund.s from which it is intended that
such payment will be mad.e, and the sources of revenue to be used
therefor and. not,later thari.the 15th d.ay of December, 1956., sha11
file, or cause to be filed, with said Controller proof tha:t a
certified copy of said d.eclaration has been filed. with.said County
Assessor, and with,said. State Board of Equalization.
