� RESOLUTION N0. 2693 •
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER.OF SAID CITY
TO SIGN FOR AND ACCEPT SURPLUS FEDERAL PROPERTY.
' .WHEREAS, by Public Law 655, 84th Congress (70 Stat. 493),
: the Federal government has authorized the d.onation of surplus
Federal property fon ciyil d.efense purposes; and.
WHEREAS, certain,conditions are imposed. by the Fed.eral
, Civil Defense Administration, the Department of Health, Ed.ucation
and Welfare, the California:Disaster Office „ and the Surplus Property
Division of the Sta,te Department of Education in connection.with the
aequisition of such property; and: "
, WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood. d-esires to become,eligible
to acquire such.property; _
NOW, THEREFORE „ IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of said '
City that.A. J. Bateman, City Manager, shall be and is hereby

authorized: as the representati've of's'a:id.City to.sign_for and accept
surplus Federal property in accord.ance.with the conditions imposed.

IT:IS FURTHER.RESOLVED that the.Clerk of this Council is I
hereby authorized and d.irected to send two (2) certified copies of
this .Resolution to the California Disaster Office, for filing with
said Disaster Office and with the State Department of Ed.ucation;.and.

IT IS FURTHER RESOI,VED that this resolution of authorization
shall remain in full force and effect until amend.ed, supersed:ed:, or
rescind.ed by resolution of this Council transmitted, in duplicate•, to
