PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES
WHEREAS, them exists at need lot' professional services to prepare revisions to
the Drug Frcc Zone Map Revisions and
WIIEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A;ll-5(l)(a) professional services arc
exempt from thc requirements of competitiYe bidding; and
WtlEREAS, thc local finance officcr has ccrtificd that funds arc available.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Mayor and Council of thc
Borough of Carteret does hercby approve the appointment of Killam and
Associates a maximum cost of not to exceed $2300.00 billable per attached
contract.
BE, IT EURTIIER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Borough clerk are hereby
authorized to execute said contract.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the contract is awarded without
competitive bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:II 5(l)(a) due to thc
specialized and professional nature of the services provided.

THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perlbrm the following
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE TO PROVIDE REVISIONS TO THE DRUG FREE
ZONE MAP REVISIONS.
NOT 'FO EXCEED $2,300.00
According to the terms set forth in Resolution.
THE INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT ON THE
REVERSE OF THE PURCHASE ORDER SHALL
BE LIMITED TO THE VENDOR'S NEGLIGENT
OR WRONGFDL ACTS.
THE BOROUGH docs hereby agree to pay the Contractor thc sum set
tbrth in Resolution.
