HomeMy Public PortalAbout2022-108 - Reso Authorizing Fee Schedule Publication by Title and SummaryResolution No. 2022-108 December 6, 2022 Member DesLauriers introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 2022-108 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 698 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 698 an ordinance amending the city’s fee schedule; and WHEREAS, the ordinance is 9 pages in length and consists almost entirely of a chart and exhibits; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the City Clerk shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 689 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance: Public Notice The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 698. The ordinance revises the city’s fee schedule, including fees for public safety, sewer and water, storm water, planning and zoning, building, and other services. The ordinance will not be codified. The full text of Ordinance No. 698 is available for inspection at Medina city hall during regular business hours. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the City Clerk keep a copy of the ordinance in the clerk’s office at city hall for public inspection and that the City Clerk post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.
