CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.04-15
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE REVISED HIGHWAY 55 CORRIDOR
COALITON JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
Whereas, the Counties of Wright and Hennepin; the Cities of Annandale, Buffalo,
Corcoran, Greenfield, Independence, Loretto, Maple Lake, Medina, Plymouth, and
Rockford; and the Townships of Albion, Buffalo, Chatham, Corinna, Maple Lake, and
Rockford are Eligible Parties to the Highway 55 Corridor Coalition Joint Powers
Agreement and are governmental units of the State of Minnesota; and,
Whereas, the primary purpose of the Joint Powers Agreement is for the Parties to jointly
and cooperatively work to preserve the Highway 55 Corridor between I-494 in Hennepin
County and the western limits of the City of Annandale to increase safety, provide
additional capacity, and improve access and transit services along the Corridor; and,
Whereas, the Medina City Council formally adopted the Highway 55 Corridor Coalition
Joint Powers Agreement that commenced on July 24, 2002; and,
Whereas, changes to the said Joint Powers Agreement were proposed at the February 20,
2004 Highway Corridor Coalition Meeting; and,
Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the City Council, City of Medina, hereby authorizes
the Mayor and City Administrator -Clerk to sign, execute, and adopt the Highway 55
Corridor Coalition Joint Powers Agreement.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Workman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Workman, Lane, Zietlow, Smith, Brinkman
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
