AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
AREA 9 IN-HOME COMMUNITY SERVICES AGENCY
WHEREAS, the Area 9 In-Home Community Services Agency has grant funding available to assist in providing transportation for the elderly and the disabled; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond provides transportation for the elderly and the disabled through the Roseview Paratransit Service; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application in order
to assist with the finding of salaries for Paratransit Drivers.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to Area 9 In-Home Community Services Agency to assist with the funding of salaries for Paratransit Drivers.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated for payment of Paratransit Driver Salaries.
Passed and adopted this 6th day of April 1998, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
