HomeMy Public PortalAbout2004-016 Resolution Seeking Review of Current MNDOT Policy Regarding Speed Limits Within Detour AreasMember Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.04-16 RESOLUTION SEEKING REVIEW OF CURRENT MNDOT POLICY REGARDING SPEED LIMITS WITHIN DETOUR AREAS Whereas, current MNDOT policy allows for the temporary reduction of posted speed limits in construction areas only; and, Whereas, no provision is made within the policy to allow temporary reduction of posted speed limits in areas that are identified as detour areas; and, Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the City Council, City of Medina, is hereby requesting that MNDOT re-examine its policies relating to traffic and speed control in detoured areas. Adams, City Administrator -Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Workman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Workman, Lane, Zietlow, Smith, Brinkman and the following voted against same: None Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
