CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.04-16
RESOLUTION SEEKING REVIEW OF CURRENT MNDOT POLICY
REGARDING SPEED LIMITS WITHIN DETOUR AREAS
Whereas, current MNDOT policy allows for the temporary reduction of posted speed
limits in construction areas only; and,
Whereas, no provision is made within the policy to allow temporary reduction of posted
speed limits in areas that are identified as detour areas; and,
Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the City Council, City of Medina, is hereby
requesting that MNDOT re-examine its policies relating to traffic and speed control in
detoured areas.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Workman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Workman, Lane, Zietlow, Smith, Brinkman
and the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
