AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,MISSOURI AMENDING CHAPTER 19 M( OTOR
VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, BY ADDING A NEW
SECTION 95 REQUIRING THAT A DRIVERS LICENSE BE CARRIED WHILE DRIVING A
MOTOR VEHICLE AND BE DISPLAYED UPON THE REQUEST OF A LAW ENFORCEMENT
OFFICER
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Code is hereby amended by adding one Section to Chapter 19
to read as follows:
19-95 Drivers License Required.
A valid drivers license issued by the Director of the Department of Revenue shall be carried at all times
by the holder thereof while drivine a motor vehicle,and shall be displayed upon demand of any officer of the
hiQhwav patrol,or any police officer or peace officer,or any other duly authorized person,for inspection when
demand is made therefor. Failure of any operator of a motor vehicle to exhibit his or her license to any duly
. authorized officer shall be presumptive evidence that such person is not a duly licensed operator.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
