BE IT RESOLPED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood as
follows:
Section 1: That Resolntion No. 2099 0£ the City of Iymvood. adopted
the 18th day of March, 1947, prescribea the time and method o£ paying salaries
and wages of the officers and employees of the City o£ I,ynwood as required by
Section 3'7206 oP the Government Code of California:
Section 2; That the monthly salaries and wages for of£icers and
employeae and the rates for hourly employees o£ the City of I,ynwood in the various
classifications shall be as follows: .

Compensation of police o£ficers assigned to motorcycles or servi—
cycles sk�all be increased by $15 per month while on such assignment.
The compensation of street maintenance men regularly assigned as
�11 time sweeper operators shall ba increased by $10 per month while on such
assignment.
The City does not pay £or overtime work. However, when overtime work
is necessary such overtime may be compeneated for by time of£ during slack periods
at the discretion of the department head.
In those classi£ications where a salary range is shoum, beginning
salary ahall be at the first step or lowest salary rate shown. However, where
circumstances so v�arrant, appointment may be made at other than the first step when
recommended by the City Manager and approved by the City Council. Increases through
the remainder of the steps shall be given at 3ntervals of sia months upon recommeud..
ation of the department head and approval of the City Manager until the highest or
top step is reached.
Section 9: Tbat additional pay for standby maintenance service for
water department employees be fiaed and established as £ollows:
(a) Such w8ter department �ployees as may be designated by the
City Manager shall recaive two dollars ($2,00) per each overtime shift over and
above their regular monthly compeneation.
(b) That a standby ehift for all regvlar working daqs is hereby
fiaed as a duty period eztending from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m, of the following day.
�'rom 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays to 8:00 a.m. of the following
day shcill be considered as two (2) etandby.e ahifts. -
(c) Al1 employees during the time they are scheduled for such dtity
ahall perform s¢ch services as may be designated by the City Nfanager and shall at
all times during the duty shift be available fo r emergency work.

Section 4; Nothing herein contained ahall be constr¢ed in any way
affecting Ordina.nce Ao. 609. Personnel Ordinance o£ the City o£ I,ynwood, or the
rules and regulations adopted pursvant thereto.
Section 5: This resolution shall be effective as of July 1, i95�.
'and Resolution No. 2514 is hereby repealed.
