RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, G NING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIRt PROPERTY IN THE
, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING NORTHERLY OF CARLIN
AVENUE AND EASTERLY OF THORSON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of i939 there has, been presented to the City Council of
the City of Lynwood, California,, petition dated August 3 195�+
executed by Herman Yaffe, requesting the annexation of certain
property lying northerly of Canlin Avenue and easterly of Thorson
Avenue in the County of Los.Angeles, State of California, and lying
within the following described lines: �
Commencing at the northwesterly corner of Lot 2 of
' the J. 7. Bullis Tract, as shown on map recorded in
, Book 3„ pages 612 and 613 of Miscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, California; thence South 19
15r 41est along the westerly line of said Lot 306.67
feet; thence North 71 West 33 feet to a point on �
the easterly boundary line of the City of Lynwood
as said boundary line existed July 14 1954 the
true point of beginning; thence South 71 East
238.20 feet; thence North'19 East 110 feet;
� thence South 71 East 292.80 feet; thence South 19
15� West 110_feet; thence South 71 East 309 feet;
- thence South.l9 West 153 feet; thence South 71
East 7 feet; thence South 19 West 481.28 feet
to a point on the southerly line of aforementioned
Lot 2; thence North 71 West along said southerly
line of Lot 2 to a point 147 feet easterly of the
southwesterly corner of said Lot 2; thence North
19 15� East 332.�+4 feet; thence South 71 East 40
feet; thence North 19 East 83.67 feet; thence
North 71 West 213 feet to a point on the afore-
mentioned boundary line of the City of Lynwood;
thence northerly along said boundary line to the
� point of beginning.
WE�REAS, said territory is uninhabited, unincorporated
territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, said petition is signed by the owners of not less
than one-fourth of the area of land in such territory and representing
not Iess than one-fourth of the assessed value of such territory
according to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the
County of Los Angeles, State of California, in which such territory
is situated.

NOW, THEF?EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: .
Section 1: That pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1g3g" the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby
, gives notice of said proposed annexation.
- Section•2: Said territory is hereby designated for identi-
fication as "Ozell Manor, Annex No. 4".
" Section 3: Said City Council hereby gives notice of and
fixed the 7th day of September, 1954 at the hour of 8:00 p.m, in
the Coundil Chambers in the City Hall 1133o Bullis Road, Lynwood,
California, as the day, hour, and place when and where any person
owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed
, and havin$ any ob�ections to the proposed a.nnexation may appear before
the�City Council of said City of Lynwood and show cause why such
territory should not be so annexed.
Section 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a
copy of this resolution to be published once a week for two successive
weeks prior to said hearing, in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed and published in eaic3 City of Lynwoo@.
Section 5: The City Clerk shall certi�fy to the adoption
of this resoliztion. � �
