HomeMy Public PortalAbout2004-021 Resolution Granting Site Approval to Farmers State Bank of HamelMember Workman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.04-21 RESOLUTION GRANTING SITE APPROVAL TO FARMERS STATE BANK OF HAMEL WHEREAS, the Farmers State Bank of Hamel (the "Applicant") has applied for site plan approval for an expansion of its bank building; and WHEREAS, the Applicant has proposed to demolish the existing structure adjacent to the current bank and to construct the addition at that location; and WHEREAS, the Applicant's request was considered by the planning commission at its March 9, 2004 meeting; and WHEREAS, the city council considered the request at its meetings on March 16 and March 31, 2004; and WHEREAS, the city council has concluded that the revised site plan is consistent with the applicable ordinances and in the best interest of the community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Medina, that site plan approval be granted to the Applicant, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. Any rooftop mechanical equipment must be completely screened using materials similar to the exterior of the building; 2. All exterior lighting on site and on the building must be downcast, except the light on the bank logo; 3. The light pole in the south parking lot shall be no higher than 20'; 4. The Applicant must submit a revised lighting plan in compliance with the city's zoning ordinance requirements; 5. The four maple trees to be placed on the south side of the proposed and existing buildings shall be a minimum of 3" caliper; Resolution No. 04-21 1 April 6, 2004 6. There shall be no outside storage on site; 7. The Applicant must execute drainage and utility easements satisfactory to the city; 8. The Applicant must execute a petition and waiver agreement regarding future stormwater improvements satisfactory to the city; 9. The Applicant must comply with all requirements of the city engineer's letter of March 25, 2004; 10. The park dedication fee, equivalent to 10 percent of the pre -development fair market value of the site, will be waived in consideration of the Applicant continuing to allow use of its parking lot by the general public for use of the adjacent park; and 11. The Applicant must pay to the city an administrative fee sufficient to reimburse the city for the cost of reviewing this application. Dated: April 6, 2004. Phillip K. Zietlow, Mayor ATTEST: Chad M.
