RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
•LYNWOOD; CALIFORNIA, GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
� COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING NORTHERLY OF CARLIN
AVENUE AND EASTERLY OF THORSON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of i939 the City Council desires to annex that certain
property lying northerly of Carlin Avenue and easterly bf Thorson
Avenue in the Counc�y�. of Los Angeles, State of California, and
lying within the following described lines: •
Commencing at the northwesterly corner of Lot 2 of the
J. J. Bullis Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 3,
pages 612 and 613 of Miscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, Ca,lifornia; thence South 19 West '
along the westerly line of said Lot 306.67 feet; thence
North 71 West 33 feet to a point on the easterly boun-
dary line of the City of Lynwood. as said boundary line
existed July 14 1954 the true point of beginning;,
thence South 71 East 245.20 feet; thence North 19
East 110 feet; thence South 71 East 2g2.8o feet; thence
South 19 15� West 110 feet; thence South 71 East 309
£eet; thence South 19 15 West 157.83 feet; thence
South.71 East 7 feet; thence South 19 15 West 464.78
feet to a point on the southerly line of aforementioned
' Lot 2; thence North 71 West 514'£eet along said"
southerly line of Lot 2; thence North 19 15t East 315.94
feet; thence North 71 West 120 feet; thence North 19
15� East 83.67 feet; thence North 71 West 220 feet to
a point on the aforementioned boundary line of the City
'" of Lynwood; thence northerly along said boundary line
to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, these proceedings are initiated by the City Council
of the City of Lynwood; such annexation is in the public interest and
the "owner of the majority of lands included in the proposed annexation
proposes to subdivide said property and desires to annex these pro-
perties to the City of Lynwood in order to obtain city services, and
such annexation will therefore be mutually advantageous to both the
City and the subdivider.
, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l: That pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1g39 the City Council o£ the City of Lynwood hereby
gives notice of said proposed. annexation.

Seetion 2: Said territory is hereby designate� for
identificat'ion as "Ozell Manor, Annex No. 4., Revised."
Sectiori 3: Said City Council hereby gives notice of and
fixes the 5th day of October, 1954 in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California, as the day, hour,
and place when arid where any person owning real property within such
territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the
proposed annexation may appear before the City Council of said City
of Lynwood and show cause why such territory should not be so
annexed. .
Section 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a
copy of this resolution to be published once a week for two successive
weeks prior to said hearing, in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of
general circulation, pririted and published in said City of Lynwood,
and also in the Herald-American, a newspaper of general circulation
published outside of the City of Lynwood but in the County in which
is located bhe territory proposed to be annexed,
Section 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
- of this resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1 54.
