• � RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, G NING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING �ASTERLY OF WRIGHT
ROAD AND SOUTHERLY OF CORTLAND AVENUE.
L,�f�REAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939 the City Council desires to annex that certain
property lying easterly of Wright Road and southerly of Cortland
Avenue in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, and
lying within the following described lines:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Lot 5
of Slausson 'I`ract as shown on map recorded in Book 3,
Page 348 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, distant thereon 180.05 feet easterly from
the center line of Wright Road, 33 feet wide, as
shown on map filed in Book 43 Page 44 of Record of
Surveys in the office o£ the Recorder of said County,
said point of beginnin being an angle point in the
boundary line of the City of Lynwood as said boundary
existed October 20 1954 thence South 70 57� 20"
East a.long said boundary line 255.03 feet; thence
North 17 41� 00" Ea,st 661.06 feet to that certain
line shown on said Record of Surveys map as having a
bearing and len�th of South 67° 37� 36" East 532,19
feet; thence North 67 37� 36" West 222.74 feet, more
or less, to an angle point on the aforementioned
boundary line of the City of Lynwood; thence southerly
along said boundary line to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, these proceedings are initiated by the City Council
of the City of Lynwood; such annexation is in the public interest and
the owners of the property have expressed an interest and desire to
become part of the City of Lynwood, and by the completion of said
annexation the City of Lynwood will be able to begin a program of
street improvement, and that areas ad,jacent to this proposed annexation
are now part of the City of Lynwood and therefore will be mutually
advantageous to both the City and property owners in that general area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territo'ry Act of 1939 the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby
�ives notice of sa.id. proposed annexation.

Section 2: Said territory'is hereby designated. for
identification as "Wright Road Annexation No. 7."
Section 3: Said City Council hereby gives notice of a,nd
fixes the 21st day of December, 1954 in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, Cali£ornia, as the day, hour,
and place when and where any person owning real property within such
territory so proposed to be annexed and having any ob�ections to the
proposed annexation may appear before the City Council of said City
of Lynwood and show cause why such territory should not be �o annexed.
Section 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a
copy of this resolution to be published once a week for two successive
weeks prior to said hearing, in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed and published in said City of Lynwood,
and also in the Herald-American, a newspaper of general circulation
� publi�hed outside of the City of Lynwood but in the County in which
is located the territory proposed to be annexed.
� Section 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the a.doption
of this resolution.
