This permit must be posted in a conspicuous location in the front of building and protected from the weather. If this permit is not posted work
will be stopped. The building contractor will replace curb paving and gutter broken during construction. This permit will be voided sinless
work has begun within six months of the date of issuance.

RE: Smith Property at 108 Jones Avenue/Fence

Dear Frank:
Hopefully,this letter will suffice for our purposes and we can put the dispute to rest,
It is my understanding that the fence that runs generally in an east-west direction on the
north side of the Smith's property is to be altered by way of the removal of the top layer of
cinder block from the fence as erected. There will be no adornment,cap,or any addition above
the newly-created top level of the fence. In the event the fence is to be expanded at the same •
height as the modified fence,a permit will need to be secured for the extension and a new fence
will have to be constructed,which also cannot have any adornment,cap,or other addition to the
•
top. Thus,the newly-constructed fence would be consistent with the existing fence after being
•
modified by removal of the top layer of cinder block.
Tybee will dismiss the citation,number 009666,and the issue will be put to rest. •
I think this adequately resolves the matter and I certainly hope that is the case. I am -
copying Dianne Otto and Warren Milliken in case any changes are thought to be necessary.
