IN THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF A
PORTION OF PLATT AVENUE BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SANITARY SEWERS AND APPURTENANT WORK.
RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS AND DETERMINING
THAT THE CITY COUNCIL HAS ACQUIRED JURISDICTION
TO ORDER THE PROPOSED WORK OR IMPROVEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did on
the 2nd day of March 1954 adopt its Resolution of Intention No,
2536 ordering the improvement of a portion of Platt Avenue by the
construction of sanitary sewers and appurtenant work, and
tnif�REAS, Tuesday, the 6th day of April 1954 at the
hour of $:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said
City of Lynwood was the time and place set in said Resolution of
Intention when and where any objections to the proposed work or im-
provement, or to the extent of the district to be assessed, or to
the grades to which the work was proposed to be done, would be heard
by said City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of said City has heretofore pre-
sented, and filed. an affidavit of publication of said Resolution of
Intention, showing that the`same was published according to law; and
y WHEREAS, said City Clerk has also presented and filed his
affidavit of mailing notices of the adoption of said Resolution of
Intention in the time, form, and manner, and to the persons, all as
provided by an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, '
designated as Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, and cited
as the "Improvement Act of 1911", and amendments thereto; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer-Superintendent of Streets has
heretofore presented and filed an affidavit showing that notices of
the passage of said Resolution of Intention have been posted in the
manner provided by said Act; and
WI�REAS, at said hearing held on the 6th day of April 1954
no protests were filed against any of the things proposed to be done
under Resolution of Intention No. 2536.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood that the said City Council has acquired full
jurisdiction to order the proposed work or improvement.
