A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI-IE CITY OF
LYNWOOD REQUESTING AN OPEN HEARING ON LOS ANGELES
CITY GROSS RECEIPTS BUSINESS TAX.
WHEREAS, the extra-territorial enforcement of the Los
Angeles city gross receipts business license tax is causing dissension,
resentment, and confusion among business concerns. outside the City of
Los 9ngeles; and •
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council believes it would be
beneficial for the Los Angeles City Council to hold a public hearing
on the question of extra-territorial enforcement of said license tax;
at which hearing all interested non resident businessmen could be
heard.
NOYT, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: The City Council of ttie City of Lynwood requests
the Los Angeles City Council to fix a time and place for a hearing on
said extra-territorial business license ordinance, at cvhich time non-
residents of the City of Los Angeles may present their views to the
Council for the purpose of arriving at a business license policy which
will be agreeable to all interested parties.
Section 2: The City Clerk is directed to transmit a certi-
fiea copy of this Resolution to the Honorable Mayor of the City of
Los Angeles, and to the Honorable City Council of the City of Los _
Angeles.
Section 3: The City Clerk of the City of Lynwood shall
