RESOLUTION ABANDONING THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT
OF THE FIRST ALLEY NORTHERLY OF CENTURY BOULE-
VARD EXTENDING EASTERLY FROM HARRIS AVENUE BY
THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE GUTTERS AND PLANT-
MIXED PAVEMENT, .
WHEREAS, Tuesday, the 16th day of February 1954 at the
hour of 8 o�clock p.m. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in
the City of Lynwood, was the time and place set in Resolution No.
2527 when and where any objections to the proposed work or improve-
ment, or to the extent of the district to be assessed, would be
heard by said City Council, and
64F�REAS, at said hearing held on the 16th day of February,
1954, and continued to the 2nd day of March Z954 protests were filed
against all of the things proposed to be done under Resolution No.
z527, and
- l�REAS, in the interim period sufficient monies have been
deposited in the treasury of the City of Lynwood to the satisfaction
of the City Engineer to make said improvement in accordance with the
specifications of said city, ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood that the said City Council has considered all-facts
and testimony and in the.best interest of all parties concerned,
declare this improvement to be abandoned and that no further proceed.-
ings as outlined in said Resolution No. 2527 shall be taken for a
period of one (1) year from this date, all as provided in Part 6,
Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code, cited as the "Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931."
