RESOLUTION No. CRA 10
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ADOPTING
A RULE OF PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE
THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY DOES RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. The Community Redevelopment Agency finds and
determines that it is common practice in governmental agencies
to adopt routine motions by the so- called "no objection"
method, i .e. , where the Chi rrpan, after stating the motion
made and seconded, asks whether there are any objections, and
if none are so voiced, declares the motion unanimously carried.
SECTION 2. The Community Redevelopment Agency further finds
and declares that such procedure is advantageous and expedites
meetings, thereby avoiding lengthy roll calls or voice votes.
SECTION 3. The Community Redevelopment Agency finds and
determines that each member who has subscribed his name hereto,
consents to the rule herein set forth.
SECTION 4. The Community Redevelopment Agency therefore officially
declares that every member consents to said "no objection" method
of adopting motions, and further agrees that failure to raise
an objection at the proferred time shall be construed to be, and
shall be entered upon the minutes as a "yes" or affirmative vote
on the motion.
SECTION 5. Any member may in writing rescind the authority
granted hereby.
SECTION 6. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 6th day of June, 1972.
