RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS IN CONNECTION WITH
THE HEARING ON DEBT LIMITATION FOR THE PROPOSED
IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF.PLATT AVEN�E BY THE
" CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did, on
the 5th day of January 1954 approve an investigation report under
the provisions of Divi.sion 4 of the Streets and Highways Code, cited
as "Special Assessment Investigation,,Limitation and Ma,jority Protest
�„ Act of 1931" as amended, upon the proposed improvement of a portion
of Platt Avenue by the construction of sanitary sewers, including all
incidental and appurtenant work, all as shown on Plan No. 1954-B-2 in
� the office of the City Clerk of said City: and
WHEREAS, said report having been duly prepared and filed,
a hearing was held by said City Council on the 16th day of February,
1954 in the manner provided in said Act above referred to; and
WHEREAS, more than thirty days have expired since the date
of mailing_,notices _of Yiearing on said report;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
, does hereby resolve as follows:
1. That the protests made at said hearing on said investi-
gation report be and the same are hereby overruled;
2. That the public interest, convenience, and necessity
require the doing and making of the public improvement set forth and
described in said report above referred to and substantially in the
, manner set forth; �
3. That the`project consisting oP tYie proposed improvement ,
,
above referred to is feasible and that the lands to be assessed will
be able to carry the burden of said proposed assessment, and the
limitations on the amounts of assessments provided for in this part
may be disregarded, both with respect to the limitations on the dis-
trict as a whole and as to the limitation on individual specific
assessments.

4. That the estimated total amount proposed to be assessed
upon any or all lots or parcels of land for the costs and expenses of
said proposed,improvement does not exceed the limitation of indebted-
ness established and set forth in said Act above referred to and will
not, by the levy thereof, cause said'-limitation to be exceeded..in any
instance;
5. That no written protests were filed with the clerk of
the legislative body by the owners of a majority of the fronta�e of
the property fronting on said proposed improvement.
6. That it is hereby ordered that the proceedings for the
making of said proposed improvement be undertaken pursuant to the pro-
visions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California,
desi�nated as Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, cited as ,
the "Improvement Act of 1911, and amendments thereto". •
