The City Counci l is requested to receive a nd file t he Transportation and Public Safe ty
Co mmi ssion (Comm ission) actions from th eir meeting of January 11 , 2017 .
BACKGROUND:
On January 11 , 2017, th e Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting .
ANALYSIS:
Fo ll owing is a sum mary of actions taken at th e January 11 , 2017 , meeting :
1. ROLL CALL:
Present: Comm issioner-Clift, Redmond , Stratis, Vice Chairman Blatt,
Chairman Nimri
Absent: Com mi ssioner -Non e
Excused : Co mmi ssioner-Non e
2. CONSENT CALE NDAR :
The Commission approved the minutes of their December 14 , 2016 , meeting .

3. PARKING CITATION HEARINGS :
The Commission held seven hearings in person . Five citations were upheld and two
citations were dismissed .
The Commission held two hearings by written declaration . Both citations were
upheld .
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Report ing the T ransportatio n and Public Safety Commission Actions furthers the C ity 's
Strategic Goal of Citizen Education and Communication .
FISCAL IMPACT:
Th is item does not have an impact on th e Fiscal Year 2016-17 City Budget.
