ORDINANCE NO. 699
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION
710.71 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES
REGARDING WATER
METER ACCESS AND
ESTABLISHMENT OF A
NON-COMPLIANCE FEE
The City Council of the City of
Medina ordains:
SECTION I: Medina Code Sec-
tion 710.71 is amended by adding
the underlined material as follows:
Section 710.71. Access to
Buildings. Authorized employees
of the City shall have free access
at reasonable hours of the day
to all parts of every building and
premises connected with the City
Water Supply System for reading
of meters and inspections. If after
reasonable efforts the City is un-
able to gain access to a building or
property to install. read. maintain.
replace. or inspect any water meter.
irrespective of the reason, the wa-
ter customer shall be subject to a
monthly non-compliance fee to ac-
count for the' City's inability to de-
termine usage and properly main-
tain its water meters and its overall
municipal water system. Said fee
may be established by the City
Council in the City's fee schedule.
SECTION II: This ordinance
shall be effective upon its adoption
and publication.

the City of Medina this 6th day of
December, 2022.
