RESOLUTION APPROVING CERTAIN STREETS FOR
INCLUSION IN THE PROPOSED COUNTY WIDE
STREET INIPROVENIENT BOIVD ISSUE PROGRAM
AND OPPOSING SAID BOND ISSUE
WHEREAS, the Los kngeles County Citizens' Comr;littee
for Better Roads has proposed a 150 r3�illion dollar bond issue Lo
i'inance needed major street improvements throughout the County; and
�r7HEREAS, each city h.as been requested to submit a
list of streets the improvement of which migh� be financed from
such city's share of said monies;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Cit;; Council
of tne City of L�Tnwood as follows:
Section 1 : Tnat the following streets be approved
for inclusion in tne proposed street and highway improvement
program:
Fernwood Avenue, north and south roadways, extending
irorn Alameda Street to the easterly city limi�s.
Santa Fe Avenue from the north city limits to the south
cit;% lir:Li�s.
E1 Segundo Boulevard (Carlin Avenue) from eas�erly to
westerl�r cityr limits.
3ullis Road from Imperial Highway �o the southerly city
li�its.
Abbot� Road from Century Boulevard to the easterly city
limits.
Sec�ion 2 : That the pr°oposed pro�ram based on
estirnated dollar use alone, is set forth below:
Estimate of cost for right of way ....$ 280,000
Estirnate oi' cost for new construction
where there are no existing highway

Section 3 : That this City Council does not favor
said bond issue and this resolution shall in no way be construed
as an endorsement of it.
