, Seetion 1 :_ That Resolution No. 2035 of the City of Lynvrood

Compensation of police ofiicers assigned to motorcycles or
servicycles shall be increased by $20.00 per month while on such,.ass'i�n- "'
ment . � • '
Compensation of police offic,ers_.assigned.to the detective_bureau,_
and to photography section shall be increased by $20.00 per month while

on such assignment to compensate for odd hours,� court time during off
duty hours and minor out-of-pocket expenses. . -�
Compensation of street maintenance men regularly assigned
as full time sweeper operators shall be increased by $15.00 per month _'
while on such ass3gnment.
The City does not pay for overtime work. However, when
overtime work is necessary such overtime may be compensated for by �
time off during slack periods at the discretion bf the department head.
In those classifications where a salary range is shown, be-
ginning salary shall be at the first step or lowest salary rate shotivn.
However, where circumstances so warrant, appointment may.be�made at •_
other than the first step when recommended by the City Manager and
approved by the C9_ty Couneil. Increases through the remainder of the
steps shall be gi��en at intervals of six months upon recommendation.of

the department head and approval of the City Manager until the highest
or top step is reached.
Section 3: That add3tional pay for standby maintenance .
service for tivater department employees be fixed and established as
Follows:
(a) Such water department employees as may be designated
by the City Manager shall receive Four pollars ($4.00) per each �
standby shift over and above their regular monthly compensation.
(b) That a standby shi£t for all re�izlar working days •
is hereby fixed as a duty period extending from 5:00 p,m, to 8•00 a.m..
oP the following day. From 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and
holidays to 8:00 a.m. of the following day shall ne considered as
trvo (2) standby shifts.
(c) All employees during the time they are scheduled for
such duty shall perform such services as may be desi�nated by the .
City Manager and shall at all times during the duty shift be available
for emergency work.
Section 4: Nothing herein contained shall be construed in' �
any way affecting Ordinance No. 6og Personnel Ordinance of the City
of Lynwood, or the rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto.
Section 5: This resolution shall be effective as of July l,

1956, and Resolution No. 2604 is hereby repealed.
