RESOLUTION N0: 2654
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA GNING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING ON THE NORTA SIDE
OF CARLIN AVENUE AND EXTENDING EASTERLY OF •
WALDORF DRIVE (OZELL MANOR ANNEXATION N0. 6).
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
' tory Act of 1939 there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Lynwood,.California, a petitio'n dated. April 26 1956
executed by Natalie Malloy and eight (8) others, requesting the
annexation of certain property lying on the north side of.Carlin
Avenue and extending easterly of Waldorf Drive in the County of Los
Angeles, State o£ California, and lying within the following described
lines:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Tract No,
18629 as shown on map recorded in Book 546, pages
39 and 40 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County,
California, said point being on the easterl,y boun-
dary line of the City of Lynwood as said boundary
line existed April 18 1955 thence northerly along
said boundary line to the most easterly corner of
said Tract No. 1862g thence South 71 lOt' S5" East
484'.00 feet; thence South 18° 55�2 10" West 464.78
feet to a point on the southerly line of Lot 2 of
J.,J..Bullis Tract as shown on map recorded in Book
3, pages 612 and 613 of Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County; thence North 71 101�55" West
along said southerly line of Lot 2 484.00 £eet to
the.point of beginning.
WHEREAS, said territory is uninhabited, unincorporated
territory contiguous to the City of'Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, said petition is signed by the owners of not less
than one-fourth of the area of land in such territory and represent-
ing not less than one-fourth of the assessed value of such territory,
according to the last preceding equalized asaessment roll of the
County of Los Angeles, State of California, in which such territory
is situated,
NOW, THEREFORE „ BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That.pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
.Territory Act of 1g39 the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby
gives notice of said proposed annexation.

Section 2: .Said territory is hereby designated for .
identification as "Ozell Manor Annex No. 6."
Section.3: Said City'Council hereby gives notice of and
fixes the 17th day of July 1956 at the hour of 8:00 p,m. in the
Council Ghambers in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, �,ynwood, Cali-
fornia, as the day, hour, and place when and where any person owning
real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and
having any objections to the proposec] annexation may a�pear before
the City Council of said City of Lynwood and show cause why such
territory should.not be so annexed.
Section 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a
copy oP this resolution to be published once a week for two successive
weeks prior to said hearing, in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed anc7 published in said City of Lynwood,'
and also in the Herald-American, a newspaper of general circulation
published outside of the City of Lynwood but in the County in_ which

Section 5: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to'each_person
to whom land within the.territory proposed to be annexed is assessed
in the last equalized County assessment roll at the address shown,on
said asse�sment roll, or as to said Clerk, and to any person
who has filed his name.and address and the designation,of the lands
in which he has any interest with said Clerk.
Section 6: The City:Clerk shall certify to the adoption
