HomeMy Public PortalAbout2004-040 Resolution Authorizing Publication of ORd 369Member Workman introduced thefollowing resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.04-40 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 369 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 369 an ordinance amending section 805.11 et seq. of the city's code of ordinances regarding the Building Code; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 369 is 2 pages in length; and WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the amended ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city administrator -clerk -treasurer shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 369 to be published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance: Public Notice The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 369. The ordinance amends the building code to add Chapter 1306 of the Minnesota Rules regarding Special Fire Protection Systems. The full text of Ordinance No. 369 is available for inspection at Medina city hall during regular business hours. Chad M.
