A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A PURCHASE CONTRACT TO DUTHIE POWER SERVICES AS THE APPARENT
tOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, IN THE AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED $245,324.18
FOR THE PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY GENERATORS FOR WATER WELL NO.'S
8, 9, 11, AND 19, PROJECT NO. 4011.67.901 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the purchase of emergency generators for Water Well No:'s 8, 9,
11, and 19 is part of Project No. 4011.67.901; and �
WHEREAS, on October 5 and 19, 2010, the City Council authorized staff to
release a Request for Bids for the purchase of these generators; and
WHEREAS, eight vendors received the Request for Bids which include and the
generator specifications; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the Office of the City Clerk on October
21, 2010, and four vendors submitted bids; and
WHEREAS, .the Director of Public Works / City Engineer has ascertained that
Duthie Power Services is the lowest responsible bidder at $245,324.18; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the project budget to pay for the cost of
these generators.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the purchase contract for the purchase of emergency
generators for Water Well No.'s 8, 9, 11, and 19, Project No. 4011.67.901 be awarded
to Duthie Power Services for the lowest bid of $245,324.18.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the purchase
agreement contract at a cost not to exceed $245,324.18 between the City of Lynwood
and Duthie Power Services in a form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. � The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
