A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCiL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
CONTINUING THE PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO THE INTENTION TO VACATE
AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES OLANDA STREET (FORMERLY EUCLID
AVENUE) BETWEEN COOKACRE STREET AND STONEACRE AVENUE AS SHOW
ON MAP OF TRACT NO. 7099 IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, MAP BOOK 101, PAGES 6-7 OF MAPS IN THE
OFFICE OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing required to vacate Olanda Street between
Stoneacre Avenue and Cookacre Avenue and said public hearing was scheduled for
November 2, 2010; and
WHEREAS, additional time was required to complete the review of the utility
company and public agency comments to the proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council elects to proceed in said vacation and
abandonment under Section 8300 to 8324, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: .
Section 1. That the Director of Public Works/City Engineer of the City of
Lynwood is directed to give and post, as required by law, Notice of Passage of this
Resolution and give therein the lega! description of said street proposed to be vacated
and abandoned, and specify the time and place of hearing of this Resolution, which is
hereby fixed as follows:
The hearing to be, before the City Council of the City of Lynwood, at 11330 Bullis
Road, in the City Council Chambers of the City of Lynwood at the hour of 5:00 p.m. has
been be continued to November 16, 2010 at which time and place all persons interested
may appear and object or protest to the proposed vacation and abandonment of said
street.
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shali certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2" day of November, 2010.
