RESOLUTION APPOINTING SANDRA SANCItEZ AS A POLICE
OFFICER OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
WIIEREAS, Sandra Sanchcz is a resident of the Borough of Carteret (tine "Borough") and a
member of tine (:it5, of Ne,,¥ Brunsv, ick's Police Departnlent; and
WIIEREAS, Ms. Sanchcz ',iisi]cs to serve the people of thc community by transfemng to the
Borougln to become a mcmher of thc Cartorot Police Departmcnt; and
~ HERF,AS, tine City of New Brunswick, tine Borougln and Ms. Sanchez have entered into an
agreement to allow Ms. Sanchez to transfer, pursuant to a pilot program which permits
interdepartmental transfers; and
~, HERLAS, tine Mayor and Council believes that ha,,ing Ms. Sanclnez is in tine best interest
of tiao Borough.
NOW, TIIEP, EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of tine Borough of
Carteret that Sancha Sanclncz is lncrcb> appointed to the position of Patrol Officer ils a
member ol the Carteret Police Depurtment.
lIE, ][ri', FURTIIER RESOLVED that said appointment shall take effect immediately.
BE, IT, FURTHER RESOLVED that Ms. Sanclnez slmll be placed at thc top step of thc
Patrol Officer's salary guide set forth in thc collective bargaining agreement betv, een thc
Boroogh and the Cartcrct PBA.
BE, IT, FURTHER RESOLVED that for seniority purposes in determining longevity,
amount of vacation and the determining of years of service for retirement health bencNts
calculations Ms. Sanchez shall be given credit for tho years of service she served on tine New
Brunswick Police Department.
