CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.04-59
RESOLUTION APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT
AND SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR WALTER G. ANDERSON FOR A
BUILDING EXPANSION AT 4535 WILLOW DRIVE
WHEREAS, the applicant, Walter G. Anderson has requested approval of a
conditional use permit amendment and site plan amendment to allow a 42,080-square
foot building expansion; and
WHEREAS, the expansion would include a 38,400-square foot
manufacturing/warehouse addition on the west side of the existing building, and
WHEREAS, the expansion would include a 3,680-square foot office addition on
the south side of the exiting building, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the request at a duly called
Public Hearing and recommends approval based on the characteristics of the use being in
compliance with the intent of the comprehensive plan; and
WHEREAS, the conditional use permit amendment is to allow an expansion on a
building utilized for warehousing and manufacturing of goods; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Medina, Minnesota, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Walter G.
Anderson for a conditional use permit amendment and site plan amendment, in
accordance with the plans and specifications that were approved by the Planning
Commission and City Council, subject to the following findings and conditions:
1. The applicant shall submit a lighting plan to be reviewed by staff to ensure
that the property is in compliance with the lighting ordinance.
2. Any rooftop equipment be positioned to not be visible from the ground or
screened.
3. The applicant shall comply with the conditions outlined in the City Engineer's
September 8, 200041etter.
4. The applicant shall execute an easement to the City over the existing sewer
and water lines on the property.
5. No outside storage is permitted on the subject property.
6. The gravel roads shall be upgraded to bituminous at the time the loading
docks are utilized in the future.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Brinkman upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Workman, Lane, Zietlow, Brinkman
and the following voted against same: (Absent: Smith)
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
