The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a Special Session at City Hall,
11330Bullis Road' on the above date at-11:40 a.m. ,
_ Mayor Byrd absenY.
Councilmen Rea, Reyes, Richards, Sanchez answered roll call.
� Also present were City Manager Davis, City Attorney�Thever and City Clerk
� Hooper.

City Treasurer Pygatt was absent.
, City Clerk Hooper announced the Agenda had been posted in accordance with �
The Brown Act.
RECESS
It was moved by Councilman Richards, seconded by Councilman Rea and a
carried to recess to Lynwood Information Inc. at 11:41 a.m.

- Councilman Sanchez discussed the tour with Senator Hughes and Mike Gotch, ��z.
• representative from the GoVernors Office. ��t�
Senator'Teresa Hughes introduced Mr. Gotch from the Governors Office.
Councilman Richards discussed the tour and the areas they will be touring. xz��tss.
Discussed how they will tour well maintained area of the City as well as some `�
��i dis±ressed areas. Councilman Richards also thanked the Senator for her
�, assistants Pat White and Les Brown.
Councilman Rea thanked Senator Hughes and Mr. Gotch for coming to �
LyrnNOOd. Discussed concems of Lynwood and how it has been impacted g,t� �S
socially and economically. Discussed the lack bf fiscal ability to revitalize ���
, blighted areas, the need to retain private industry. Discussed howi Lynwood will � r�•
: show some of the blighted areas on the tour and the need for assistance from
the State ievel.
CITY TOUR
It was moved. by Councilman Richards, seconded by Coumcilman Reyes and
carried to recess to the City Tour with Senator Teresa Hughes at 11:46 a.m.
Gouncil returned from the tour at 1:30 p.m.
' Having no'further discussion, it was moved by Councilman Richards, seconded
by Councilman Sanchez and carried to adjourn at 1:31 p.m.
