CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 26, 1985
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Swain called the special meeting of the City Council to
order at 7 :30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 1985, in the North Meet-
ing Room of the City Hall.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen - Atkins; Dennis, Gillanders, Tyrell, Swain
Absent: Councilmen -None
Also Present: City Manager Koski
3. NEW BUSINESS:
A. ACCEPTANCE OF BID - PURCHASE OF OFFICE FURNITURE FOR NEW
CITY HALL
City Manager Koski presented background information stating
as part of the remodeling of the Civic Center facilities
new office furniture, with the assistance of Interior Designer
O'Brien, has been selected for the new City Hall. The bid
packet requested separate bids for 10 specific manufacturers;
a Notice Inviting Bids was published; and bid packets were
submitted to several office furntiure suppliers. Of the two
bids received, Coordinated Resources was the low bidder on
all ten manufactured groups, at a total cost of $74,228.83
which is 49% lower than the suggested retail price of
$131,957.43.
After review of the bids by City Council, Councilman Dennis
moved to accept the low bid from Coordinated Resources, Inc.
in the amount of $74,228.83 for the purchase of office furni-
ture for the new City Hall and authorize purchase of the office
furniture, seconded by Councilman Gillanders and unanimously
carried.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no other items for the special meeting, meeting
adjourned at 7:40 p.m. Next regular meeting of the City Council
will be held Tuesday, April 2, 1985, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall.
